The Trolley Dodgers will keep new Boston Red Sox first baseman Adrian Gonzalez.
Gonzalez was a 4th round pick with the TDs in 2010. With the Red Sox, Gonzalez has two things that he never had in San Diego: a hitter's park and protection in the lineup. The TDs are hopeful that these factors lead to Pujols-like numbers from the first baseman.
Gonzo was chosen over superstar third baseman Alex Rodriguez and 2010 keeper Joe[eeeeeeeyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy] Mauer. According to a source, Mauer was very disappointed and hurt by TJ Maarup's decision. The same source said that Arod could not be reached for comment because Cameron Diaz was feeding him popcorn.
