Out of the Playoffs:
The Giant Killers - Right now, the Giant Killers are the worst team in the league. Manager Tim Braband will probably be able to prevent them from finishing dead last even if Reyes never plays and Wright hits 10 HR, but I don't see the Giant Killers making the playoffs without a single proven pitcher on their Opening Day roster.
TheOzzieGuillens - One word: Ichiro
Trollleeeeeeeyyyyyyyy Dodgerssssssssssssssssssssssss - The Trolleys are loaded with guys who had career years last year. They decided to jump on the "draft pitching early" bandwagon, but ended up with Fat CC who has to pitch at Yankee Stadium and Justin Verlander who had a career year last year and just got paid. Speaking of just got paid, the Trolleys took Justin Upton. Also, the Trolleys are depending on a guy who in his 5th big league season, saw his average spike 30+ points and more than doubled his career home run totals. I'm sure he'll keep that up.
Brian's Fellows - This is not the year for the much improved Brian's Fellows. I think the Fellows have the team to compete for the #4 spot especially if they get some production from Santana and Hamels.
Playoffs:
1. L-Trains vs. 4. The Rise of Wang
This is the year for The Rise of Wang... to make the playoffs. Halladay and Wainwright will be key at the top of their rotation. Their offense is ok right now, but has room for improverment in replaceable positions. Nevertheless, they will be no match for the World Champion L-Trains.
L-Trains 9 - The Rise of Wang 3
2. The Dynasty vs. 3. South Side Hit Men
The Dynasty has reloaded after their devastating loss to the L-Trains in last year's playoffs. The South Side Hit Men also look to avenge a tough playoff loss to the Cinderella Trolley Dodgers. I like both teams to get back to this spot in 2010. In this matchup, I have to give a slight edge to The Dynasty right now, but if the White Sox middle infield has a great year the South Side Hit Men will be tough to beat.
The Dynasty 7 - South Side Hit men 4
Championship: 1. L-Trains vs. 2. The Dynasty
Tim Lincecum will stick it to The Dynasty on the last day of the season. The L-Trains will once again be champions of the world.
L-Trains 6 - The Dynasty 5
