Week 17 Recap: Scores Don't Change on Sunday, Just Ask the SSHM

The Hitmen were up 7-2 going into Sunday and ended up tying 6-6 in a crucial contest with Brian's Fellows. Neither team was able to gain ground with the tie, but fortunately for them, the free falling Dynasty was blown out by the Wangs keeping the race for the last few playoff spots very close. Also, the L-Trains shat the bed and still only lost 7-5 (thanks trolley dodgers) - that was their first loss since Week 6.

The GKs had the best week with their 100 Ks and minuscule era and whip (did toronto play the orioles and indians? oh ok just checking). The Wangs edged out the TDs for another Trolley Dodger Award, but still had the second best week overall.

Here is what you deserved in Week 17:

Team W L T
GKs 8 3 1
Wang 6 4 2
Hitmen 7 5 0
Ozzie 6 5 1
Fellows 6 6 0
TDs 5 6 1
L-Trains 4 8 0
Dynasty 3 8 1

Looking forward to Week 18 (maybe b/c one day is already half over)- we've got a BIG week. The #2 L-Trains look to close in on the #1 Wangs. The Trolley Dodgers try to hold on against the 6th place Fellows who are only 2 games out of the playoffs as we speak. The Giant Killers chose the wrong week to go to London and put their team in my hands - they face the 4th place Dynasty who they trail by only .5 games. AND the South Side Hitmen have their final opportunity to gain ground by beating on the Ozzies.

Here are the updated standings:

  1. wondering why the td numbers are in red. is it because they're favorite to win?

  2. calling attention to how you are below .500 in everything. wangs are "luckier" with their .605 winning percentage, but they are still deserving of a playoff spot unlike the teams in red above
