Last year, the L-Trains committed highway robbery acquiring Mark Teixeira for Kevin Youkillis early in the season. They then flipped Teixeira, after months of production, for Adam Wainwright and replaced him with Kendry Morales who together led the L-Trains to the 2009 Championship of the World.
This year, the L-Trains have been in on every trade made to date, so let's check out the early returns:
Since the May 18 trade, L-Train Adam Dunn 28/84 (.333) with 4HR, 14 RBI, 13 R, 7 2B in 21 games. James Shields? 1-3 with a 4.88 in 4 starts 19K/27.2 IP... and that doesn't even count the 10 ER he gave up today in 3.1.
Since the May 17 trade, L-Train Ben Zobrist (formerly known as Zor-bust) 33/89 (.371) 5 HR (his first 5 of the season), 14 RBI, 3 2B, 3 SB, 14 R. Gavin Floyd hasn't been horrible - 1-2, 4.50 era, 21Ks / 22 IP.
Oh, and there was that Sizemore deal, but not having Lind forced me to get Dunn and Lind has only been counter productive since April 30: in 37 games, 24/144 (.167) 4 HR, 17 RBI, 14 R, 3 2B. Oh yeah, and I also added a fellow named Alex Rios to replace Sizemore.

I HOPE YOU ARE ALL SCARED BECAUSE THERE'S AN L-TRAIN COMING DOWN THE TRACKS AND THE ONLY STOP IS ANOTHER WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP!!!
