I overheard someone talking about a soccer game the other day. I'm not sure why they were talking about soccer in the United States of America, but for some reason they were. Anyways, these soccer folks were overly excited about a game in which their team tied. This pretty much tells you how exciting soccer is, but can a tie really be a good thing?
We had some ties to deal with this week in fantasy baseball. Although I expected to lose on Sunday, I am not happy with a tie since all I needed was Rios or Quentin to hit a homer on Sunday night for the victory and came up hitless. The Giant Killers also tied the Ozzie Guillens who put up 5 points once again but failed to win. That is significant because the Giant Killers are this week's big winner, going 6-0-1 in matchups with a .595 winning percentage. Too bad that tie was the one that counts. Also surprising based on that statistic is the fact that the Ozzie Guillens were near the bottom of the league this week. To me that says no one was that great this week.
Speaking of not great, the South Side Hit Men had another down week despite pitching 3 CGs. They were the worst team for the second consecutive week. The second worst team?... this week's Trolley Dodger Award winners: Brian's Fellows - who were fortunate enough to be playing the Hit Men. Here's what everyone deserved this week:
